Two-day intensive workshop with Prafull Sawant

Duration: 2 full days, 9:30–17:30 (with a lunchbreak)
Workshop fee: €250 total.

This immersive two-day watercolor workshop is dedicated to atmospheric architectural and urban landscapes, led by internationally renowned watercolor master Prafull Sawant.
Designed for artists who want to deepen their understanding of composition, light, and mood, the workshop focuses on transforming complex cityscapes into powerful, expressive paintings. Participants will learn how to simplify architecture, control tonal values, and create convincing atmosphere using watercolor techniques refined through decades of international teaching and plein-air practice.
The workshop combines in-depth demonstrations, guided individual practice, and group discussions, allowing participants to learn both by observation and hands-on painting.

Day 1 – Architectural cityscape or waterscape

Materials
Participants are expected to bring their own materials. A detailed materials list will be provided upon registration to ensure everyone is well prepared for the workshop.
Artist bio – Prafull Sawant
Prafull B. Sawant (b. 1979, India) is one of the world’s leading contemporary watercolor artists, internationally recognized for his realistic yet atmospheric approach to architectural and urban landscapes.
With over 25 years of teaching experience, he has conducted more than 150 international workshops across Europe, Asia, the USA, and the Middle East, teaching thousands of students worldwide. His work has been featured in leading international art magazines, including Watercolor Artist (USA), L’Art de l’Aquarelle (France), and AmAquerelli (Italy).
Prafull Sawant is a Signature Member of the American Watercolor Society — the first Indian artist to receive this honor — and a Global Brand Ambassador for Daniel Smith Artist Materials. His artworks are held in private collections, museums, and galleries around the world, and he is a frequent guest artist at major international watercolor festivals and exhibitions.
